I opened the FB post

And there it was

Blacker than a raven 

Your prompt came!

Sir," said I, "or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;*

But the fact is I’m an inept poet

And six limericks is more

Than I can ever write  in a night

Turning the alliteration into a nightmarish chore

Nevermore will I obey your command

You might create a hullabaloo

And get haggard if you wish

I intend to dream the night away

In my swinging hammock

Hymn humming 

Like the old hag that I am.

Nevermore that’s it!
