And pretend that he just doesn't see? 

 As many times as necessary To his health 

Avoiding  being concerned by others’ suffering

How many times can a man turn his head

And pretend that he just doesn't see? 

As many times as necessary To his comfort 

 Abstaining to feed others starving 

How many times can a man turn his head

And pretend that he just doesn't see? 

As many times as necessary to go home

Stepping over the homeless 

How many times can a man turn his head

And pretend that he just doesn't see? 

As many times as necessary so his wallet

Never feels lighter 

Averting the beggar’s hand

How many times can a man turn his head

And pretend that he just doesn't see? 

As many times as necessary To his greed

For equality is never to be shared.
