Prompt 9 June 9 ""Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!" - lines, taken from Tennyson's 'Crossing the Bar' given by Samrudhi Dash

Here in this forsaken country
No evening bell rings
To mark the end of the day
Only the Choughs chorus
Resonates in the deep forest
To celebrate the night coming
In the soft twilight world
Shadows disappear
The world loses its sharpness
Erasing the day blunders
Smoothing the way to Darkness
Eerie companion of the bewitching hours
To fall asleep is to enter the night casino
The odds are stacked against you
Who knows what dreams they will bring
Will it be nightmares or visions?
Place your bets
When your number is up
Say good bye and exit rapidly
This shadowless universe
Where many have been called
And never came back.
