Mystic Mariner

He left the known shores
For the Unknown
As many before him did
The finite world was not complete
Too many white spots on the maps
Continents were to be discovered
Cultures were to be embraced
Countries to be looted
Towns to be vanquished
Before commerce and industries
Could be established
He took with him
On whimsical ships
Crossing the sea and oceans
Men sharing his vision
They brought with them
Their religion, their greed,
Used torture and violence
Subjecting mankind
To get their goals
Centuries after centuries
The mystic mariner
Changed his name and citizenship
His quests have never ended
He still searches for the fabled Eldorado.
