Doughnuts

TSL PandoraThon 20 Prompt  (by Santosh Bakaya)

Write a ghost story in the form of a rhyming sonnet .   Mandatory use of the following five  words:  Cinnamon , honey doughnut , gluttony , lantern .



 Switch off your lanterns and listen
To the story of Lucette’s gluttony
She couldn’t resist the alluring smell
Of fresh cinnamon doughnuts  glazed with honey

She simply couldn’t stop at one
A box of six was but the work of a moment
Twelve took a reasonable time
But Multiply that by six boxes

You can see the problem
She couldn’t find enough time in a day
To go through them all
She was only human.

Now she haunts the doughnuts bakery
Humming ‘ I so love doughnuts’ .
