The next day exactly the same thing would happen again
Begin a three hundred word story with that sentence and write it
The next day exactly the same thing would happen again! It all started on April’s fools day,
As a joke really. A prompt appeared on my screen and I was challenged to write a poem. I wrote it , it was fun, and forgot about it. Well, the next day the same thing would happen again, a new prompt appeared challenging me to write a poem. So I did write one and forgot about it. What do you know the next day exactly the same thing would happen again: a new prompt would appear on my screen challenging me , never one to refuse a challenge, I wrote a poem and promptly forgot about it. And it happened again and again until April had spent its days, thirty to make sure we agree on the number and you are still reading this Groundhog Day story. May arrived and joyfully i thought the curse of writing a poem everyday had ended, I wrote a personal poem , the joy of it all, freedom at last but but a prompt appeared challenging me to write a poem and what do you know the next day exactly the same thing would happen, a prompt would appear challenging me to write on a theme with constraints and would you believe I must be a glutton for punishment, certainly for i wrote that poem which I immediately forgot about as per usual. And one week in May I’m starting to believe that like Sisyphus rolling everyday a stone uphill , i have to write a poem a day for when the prompt appears the compulsion is so intense i cannot resist , hat a life have I got into. We arrive to today and unbelievable as it is, the prompt is about writing a story not a poem a story, am i up to this new challenge?
