On line, on tap
One chasing the other
One scandal erasing another
One massacre topping the other
Already I have forgotten
The name of the perpetrators
One religious war after another
Destroying people after people
In the name of a loving God
Are we going mad?
When is this Going to stop?
Putting children behind bars
Won't make humanity progress
Torturing men and women
On the presumption of an idea
Is definitely not the way forward
We are simply regressing
World leaders conduct themselves
Like kids in a courtyard
Play up man-ship one against the other
Not to speak of others morphing into pigs
Gobbling up themselves with profits
While the rest of us are left starving
Leaving us to wonder
How is it going to end?
