Hay fever

Rapsody in blue
Blares the crowd into silence
The curtain rises
Projected into the twenties
Instant time travel
Power of the stage
Dysfunctional family
Guests are coming
Frenzy all around
Cringe and fury are but a game
Curtain goes down
First interval
The theatre rests
Second act
The curtain goes up
Guest are but pawns
To be swapped around
Pushed into roles
Through games played
To dramatise their life
Pushing the romantic
Entanglement element
To the end game
The diva faints
The curtains falls down
Second interval
The theatre rests
Third act
The curtain goes up
Morning tea is served
Fever is rampant
Irritation is supreme
The guests in a state of terror
Are creeping out,
Out of sight, out of mind
While the family rages about
In the volutes of rhapsody in blue .
