Day after day , they wait
From the relentless sun and heartless heat
They've found a shelter of some kind
In the shade of a Humvee car
They see humanity pass by
Leaving them behind
Ignored, not even acknowledged
On the crossroad
They're not begging
Still they are waiting in silence
They display a sign as someone told them
He said he would come to wait for him
He didn't give them a day or a time
So they turn up day in day out
They've forgotten for what,
Or for whom?
Life has lost meaning
They've given up hope.
