A birthday I don't dare to celebrate
My tummy and yours are on the blink
What a family!
Both waiting for surgery to happen
Both in pain, not daring to eat
Apprehending the following hours
Of intense suffering
What a family!
A world away and still in agony
It's difficult to feel upbeat
When your body betrays you
I just want the pain to go away
To breathe freely
Our family has already paid
Go find somebody else
Leave us alone illness
Give us a break will you!
