Spring 2016

How pleasant Spring is
The muddy paddocks have gone
In their place wild flowery meadows
Have sprung sculpting the landscape
Each step burrows deeply in the leafy carpet
Of continuous evolving pattern and colours
Spread over patches, ruts, hiding all defects
Opening and closing their corollas
Tracking the Sun's daily journey
Across the sky where crested wood pigeons
Pursue their courtship under a herd of clouds
Shepherded by a cool breeze
Everything is sprouting
Shy natives, invading weeds
Cultivated species
It does not matter
Nature does not discriminate
If it there, it grows enlightening
Empowering  all around
Spring is here!
