Why doesn't she call?

She said,  she would call me
I've been waiting for hours
Dreaming the hours away
Long distance relationships are so overrated
Let me tell you, I hate them so much,
I miss her midnight calls
Why, but why couldn't she be the cat next door
Calling me from the fence?
In one jump we could be frolicking together
Singing the night away
And painting the town red
What fun we would have!
Yes, sure I can hang with the blokes
They are still there
We could have fights, we are good at that
Same old, same old
Why doesn't she call?
