Spring in the garden 2020
The lemon trees are in bloom
The jonquils too
The buds on the peach trees
Are open attracting bees
Spring is here there’s no doubt
With a sprinkling of snow
And flurries to show
You would think the garden
Is an aromatic delight
Well, think again,
It reeks of blood and bone
Offending the air
No bird in the flower beds
Watching weather forecast
For a rainy day
To wash away that stench
May it come quickly!
