A delicate earl grey brew
To refresh after the last mouthful
Of lemon cheese cake
Oh what a delightful pleasure
That a humble cup of tea
Brings to blasé tastebuds
Not that my usual
Evening cuppa of mint tea and ginger
Does not satisfy me
But that special cup
Brought flavours long forgotten
So enjoy it while it last
Oh the cup emptied so quickly
Resist the temptation of another one.
Familiarity breeds contempt
Isn't so?
