While Australia burns
In the middle of winter
While Australia is in drought
It can't feed its cattle
While the reef is dying
For lack of action
The adults are playing in Canberra
The favourite game
Of Australian pollies:
Change the leader!
Let the children play too
In the playground
That is Australia
Call an election,
It will distract us
From the drought
From the fires
From the doom coming.
