Truly one life is sufficient
So many incarnations
From babe to infant
From toddler to child
From teenager to adult
From woman to mother
From careerist to pensioner
From senior to crone
Where have they all gone?
I laugh at the anxieties,
Contrarieties of gone days
I'm still there, standing
In this used and abused body
Sure I can change parts
Here and there
But is it worthwhile?
Although I know it's there
I can't see the used by date
I'm slowing down
Who cares anyway?
I had so many lives
It was interesting
I'm privileged I saw it all.
